The Department of Medical Devices Technology Engineering is one of the important departments that specializes in the maintenance and repair of medical devices and preparing graduates to work in government and private hospitals. It was established for the academic year (2019-2020) to keep up with the rapid development in the field of medical devices, which are a key component in supporting medical staff to build a healthy society through keeping pace with digital technological advancements and modern medical device systems. Since its establishment, the department has been striving to provide good education in medical devices and keep up with their development. The department places great importance on raising the level and quality of education and constantly works on improving the curriculum to obtain recognition from the American ABET organization for the Bachelor of Engineering in Medical Devices Technology. The department’s plans aim to graduate engineers with both theoretical and practical high skills, relying on modern laboratories and a skilled faculty who possess both scientific and theoretical expertise. The department is equipped with a sufficient number of laboratories for practical training and project execution to raise the students’ levels. Graduates from this department possess skills and professional ethics that enable them to learn independently and meet the needs of the local market in both the public and private sectors in the field of Medical Devices Technology. Graduates also receive a certification that qualifies them to work in both the public and private sectors and grants them the right to join the Engineers’ Syndicate.
