The preparatory committee for the First Conference on Combating Drugs and Addiction held its preparatory meeting, which is under the patronage of His Excellency, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi.
Under the slogan:
“The Dangers of Drug Abuse and Avoiding It for the Benefit of Society”
The conference will be held in the conference hall of Al-Hikma University College on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
During the meeting, the committee discussed the most important requirements for holding the conference, in addition to preparations for welcoming lecturers, researchers, and all participants from various institutions and ministries. The meeting also covered the arrangements for holding exhibitions that will take place simultaneously with the conference events.
This conference comes in light of the growing danger of drugs and their negative impact on youth, families, and society as a whole. Drugs have become one of the most serious challenges threatening the social, health, and economic stability of nations. The conference aims to highlight the devastating effects of drugs on mental and physical health and their link to increased crime and violence rates. This will ensure the protection of future generations from falling into this destructive danger and educating students to become conscious nuclei serving the community.
