Overview of Islamic Studies Department

The Department of Islamic Studies is the backbone of other scientific and human specializations, as people’s souls yearn to adhere to the fringes of religion and their hearts yearn to receive Islamic sciences so that their relationship with their Lord is conscious and enlightened.

The department aims to prepare cadres capable of serving their community in the field of knowledge and religious science, which is one of the most dangerous sciences in societies as it relates to people’s beliefs and religion, and mistakes in it may lead to destruction.

The mission of the department lies in preparing graduates capable of bearing the scientific and religious trust to present it to those who need it in the best ways, whether through their teaching behavior in public high schools and other government jobs, or in guiding people to the straight path.

The department is an important part of Al-Hikma University College, and aims to prepare specialists in Islamic studies by offering various academic programs that include the tracks of faith, interpretation, hadith, jurisprudence and its principles. The department contributes to providing all majors at the university with the necessary materials within the Islamic studies plan, and seeks to achieve the vision and mission of the college and the university in preparing graduates who are educationally, academically and professionally qualified for the labor market, while enhancing citizenship, loyalty and belonging to the homeland.
