By the grace of Allah, the Department of Computer Engineering Technology – Networks and Communications has been established at Al-Hikma University College to achieve the university’s strategic goals in line with the vision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The field of Computer Engineering Technology has always been one of the most challenging and rewarding professions in modern society. We believe that now is the right time to embark on your career as a technical engineer, whether in designing or maintaining hardware components.

At the Department of Computer Engineering Technology – Networks and Communications, we strive to build a dynamic community that understands the significance of this era while looking ahead to the future. We aim to engage our students in the nation’s development and unleash their full potential, as our youth are the cornerstone of success. Our goal is to prepare and equip national professionals with high competence in computer networking. We are committed to enhancing students’ skills so they can analyze and design traditional and modern wired and wireless networks based on mathematical principles and engineering expertise. We also focus on conducting scientific and engineering experiments to provide professional solutions in network engineering, enabling them to adapt to the ongoing technological advancements in digital and analog communication systems.

Furthermore, we train our students to understand contemporary and future issues in network security, offering scientific solutions that contribute to community development.

Computer engineering professionals must grasp logical design, microprocessor system design, and computer interfacing with external environments, all while continuously focusing on system requirements and design. The field of Computer Engineering Technology covers multiple specializations, including:

• Coding, encryption, and information security
• Communications and wireless networks
• Operating systems
• Computational science and engineering
• Computer networks and mobile computing

Our graduates have demonstrated outstanding achievements, whether through securing job offers at prominent companies or gaining admission to prestigious universities worldwide for higher studies.
