Vision

The Department of Computer Science aims to achieve ABET accreditation in its specialization through global programs designed to equip students with the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge, skills, and experience at an international accreditation level. It also seeks to enhance students’ capabilities through partnerships with international universities in the field.

Mission

To provide students with essential academic and professional knowledge and skills through well-structured programs that prepare them for scientific advancements. This is achieved in collaboration with the college administration and relevant scientific and technical institutions.

Goals

  1. Technical Knowledge:
    • Providing fundamental and specialized knowledge in engineering and Computer Techniques Engineering principles.
    • Expanding students’ knowledge by familiarizing them with programming principles.
    • Equipping students with modern knowledge in software design and development.
    • Understanding different systems and their mechanisms.
    • Preparing students with high efficiency to work as programmers and system analysts for small-scale systems or Computer Techniques Engineering, enhancing system efficiency.
    • Increasing practical experience through hands-on applications and laboratory experiments.
    • Enhancing students’ research skills in scientific and applied research within their field and related engineering disciplines.
  2. Technical Skills:
    • Developing essential skills for designing and implementing laboratory and field projects in various scientific disciplines.
    • Enhancing the ability to design computer systems, solve problems, and create practical plans to utilize technical knowledge effectively.
  3. Communication Skills:
    • Improving students’ ability to organize and present information effectively, whether verbally, in writing, or through visual and graphical representation.
  4. Professional Readiness:
    • Providing a broad understanding of challenges in professional practice, including teamwork, leadership, occupational safety, professional ethics, and economic feasibility.
  5. Graduate Studies Preparation:

    • Equipping students with sufficient depth and breadth in knowledge and skills to pursue advanced studies, postgraduate research, and continuous learning programs.
