Message from the Head of the Law Department

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

All praise is due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and companions. We thank Allah, who commands in His noble book:

“Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice.” (Surah An-Nisa: 58)

The ethical and academic responsibility of leading a law department requires the head to be well-versed in their field, honest, and dedicated to their work. They must safeguard the interests of their students, support their colleagues in delivering knowledge effectively, and encourage scientific innovation for all.

Thanks to Allah, our predecessors have led the Law Department with professionalism and a structured scientific approach, making it a distinguished institution among law faculties in both public and private universities. Since assuming this responsibility, we have been committed to continuing this legacy by enhancing modern curricula, collaborating with the College of Law at Al-Mustansiriyah University, and updating the study materials for all four academic levels. We have also signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement between both colleges.

Additionally, we actively participate in legal conferences and workshops, supervise and examine master’s and doctoral students inside and outside Iraq, and encourage faculty members to contribute effectively to local, Arab, and international academic forums. This is achieved through publishing specialized research that serves both local and regional legal contexts.

Our ultimate goal is to position the Law Department at Al-Hikma University College at the highest academic level among law schools, in line with our strategic vision and the dedicated efforts of our faculty members.
