Accounting is one of the social sciences that has evolved alongside human civilization throughout history. Today, it is considered a profession governed by international principles and standards, attracting increasing interest from students worldwide.

Society in general, and stakeholders in business organizations in particular, place great importance on specialists in this field who are academically and practically qualified to practice it. This is due to the significant and active role accountants play in the business world by providing valuable data and information that aid in making sound decisions beneficial to various stakeholders.

The growing interest of students in the Accounting Department in recent years is not surprising, given the outstanding opportunities available to graduates in the job market, whether in the public or private sector.

Since its establishment at the beginning of the 2023/2024 academic year, the Accounting Department at Al-Hikma University College has adopted an important motto:
“High-quality and reliable accounting education.”

This has placed the department’s administration under a professional and ethical responsibility to implement educational programs based on international accounting education standards. Additionally, the department is committed to instilling professional values and ethics, along with public service ethics, in the minds and consciences of its students. This requires equipping them with the latest knowledge in accounting, auditing, and other related fields such as statistics, economics, business administration, mathematics, and law, in line with the most recent advancements in these sciences.
