Vision, Mission, and Goals – English Department

Vision:
The English Department aspires to achieve a high level of leadership in teaching and research at local, regional, and international levels through a comprehensive scientific and practical approach. It aims to excel in training professionals in English language and translation, fostering knowledge and cultural exchange with the world to benefit society and keep pace with modern technology. The department believes that English is an effective tool for adapting students to the era of globalization and engaging with new advancements.

Mission:
The department strives to be a specialized academic institution by providing comprehensive education and training in undergraduate studies, with plans to expand into postgraduate studies in the near future. It follows high-quality academic programs to prepare scientifically and professionally qualified human resources in English language and translation, enabling them to compete in both local and global job markets. This is achieved by developing students’ linguistic, intellectual, and research skills, enhancing their confidence, and encouraging innovative scientific research in line with global best practices.

Goals:

  1. To provide a distinguished, high-quality English language program and continuously develop it to align with global advancements.
  2. To modernize the curriculum by moving away from traditional perspectives and adopting contemporary approaches.
  3. To graduate students proficient in English reading, writing, research, and translation, preparing them for competitive job markets.
  4. To train postgraduate students capable of conducting research in English language and linguistics, contributing to theoretical discussions and participating in specialized conferences locally and internationally.
