The Department of Accounting was established at Al-Hikma University College at the beginning of the academic year 2023/2024 with the aim of contributing to meeting the needs of the labor market for specialists in the fields of accounting and auditing. The department seeks to prepare a generation of academically qualified graduates with the competence and eligibility to work in the field of accounting, auditing and financial control, enabling them to understand financial operations and analyze data, and contribute to decision-making in various fields and business organizations. The duration of study in the department is four years, and the department’s curriculum focuses on providing an integrated mix of modern accounting theories and practical applications. It also relies on the latest technological methods in analyzing and tabulating financial operations, managing accounts and preparing financial reports, which enhances students’ abilities to deal with modern software. The department provides students with the opportunity to acquire appropriate knowledge and skills in various fields including tax accounting, auditing, and international accounting, in addition to developing their skills in financial analysis and planning. The Department of Accounting includes an elite group of specialized professors with scientific titles and experience in academic work fields, which provides a stimulating educational environment that supports the professional and scientific development of students.
